These fans not only reduce heat from the lubricant but also from other components within the enclosure. The design of the coolers, fans, and the enclosure itself undergoes rigorous engineering to guarantee optimal airflow for maximum heat dissipation.

Accumulation of dust or debris on the outer surfaces of the coolers can disrupt heat transfer, leading to an increase in oil temperatures. Simply blasting clean air through the cooler to eliminate this build-up can significantly impact the air compressor’s operating temperature. Internally, varnish or sludge can accumulate on the cooler walls, forming a barrier between the lubricant and the inner cooler walls of the pipes. To address this, a detergent solvent additive can be used, or the cooler can be removed for a thorough chemical cleaning.
